Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLYDIA RINK (nee HERMAN) August 7, 1915 - September 27, 2002 From God We Come and To Him We Return Our family sadly announces the passing of our dear mother on Friday, September 27, 2002 at the age of 87 years, at the Health Sciences Centre. Our mother will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter Linda (Alex) Kapitany; sons, Jack (Coby) and John (Allison) grandchildren, David, Cheryl, Michael, Christine, Linda, and James; great-grandson Nathan. She also is survived by sisters-in-law, Ruth Herman, Olive Herman, Roberta Herman, Henriette Rink, and Karoline Klein; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Jack, parents, four sisters and three brothers. Our mother was truly a gift from God. During her married years she raised three children, looked after the household and was a real source of inspiration and love for our whole family. Being of a farm family from Woodley, SK, she was no stranger to hard work and exemplified it all of her life, right to the end. Our mother will be ever remembered, loved and deeply missed by all of us. But, all her pain and suffering is over. She is at peace with our Lord and after 31 years is reunited with her beloved husband. We wish to thank Pat Hutton and her Home Care staff for all the care they gave to our mother while she was still at home and the staff of Concordia Hospital N1 North (our mothers home for several months). In September, Parkview Place became her new home and we particularly thank the staff at Parkview for their care and compassion to her and our whole family. Also thanks to the Health Sciences Centre Emergency care staff for the wonderful support they gave our family. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with funeral service to be held on Friday, October 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 350 Gilmore Ave. with Rev. Brad Schollenberg officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lydias memory to the Peace Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or a charity of your choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
